Melanie Peasey JP (Qual) is an experienced professional in safety and training within the maritime sector. Currently serving as the Safety, Rules and Representation Coordinator at Australian Sailing since November 2019, Melanie also acts as the Director and Principal of 27 South Ocean Training, an accredited center for Safety and Sea Survival training for offshore sailors since July 2021. Previous roles include Principal at ECA Maritime College from May 2016 to November 2019, Senior Training Advisor at Careers Australia from January 2015 to May 2016, and Trainer/Assessor at Franklyn Scholar from 2010 to 2014. Melanie's foundational education was completed at St Aidan's Anglican Girls School from 1987 to 1991.
