David Peel is an experienced engineer currently working at Defence Australia since January 2024. Prior to this role, David served as a Senior Engineer at Nova Systems from February 2016 to January 2024 and held various engineering positions at Defence Materiel Organisation, including Combat Systems Engineer for the Landing Helicopter Dock (LHD) Project and ASMD Test Director for the ANZAC SPO. David began a career in the Royal Australian Navy, where roles included Officer in Charge of Regional Explosive Ordnance Services and Weapons Electrical Engineer Officer aboard HMAS WARRAMUNGA and HMAS PERTH. David's career also includes project management and operations roles in the events industry with Staging Connections and Gearhouse Staging Connections. David holds multiple degrees, including a Master's in Space Operations from UNSW and an MBA from CQUniversity.
