Yan Grinshtein has extensive experience in design leadership and user experience (UX) roles. Yan is currently the Head of Design at Augment AI Corp, where they are responsible for developing a context-aware AI platform to enhance productivity. Previously, Yan worked as a Product Design Strategy Advisor and Head of Design at CanWe, where they led a multidisciplinary team and successfully revitalized the product, resulting in significant user acquisition growth. Yan has also been a member of the Design Leadership Forum and served as a mentor for adplist.org and Designed.org. Yan's expertise extends beyond individual companies, as they have been a committee member for the UI/UX Global Summit 23 and a UX Task Force Member - Advisor for the FIDO Alliance. Prior to these roles, they held leadership positions at HYPR, Frontline Technologies, and Centris Group, focusing on improving user experience and implementing UX processes. Yan's accomplishments include developing a product development flow, establishing accessibility compliance, creating a design system, and implementing a decision-making system. Yan is highly skilled in user research, persona creation, wireframing, prototyping, and usability testing. Yan's work experience demonstrates their ability to drive innovation, collaborate cross-functionally, and deliver impactful design solutions.
Yan Grinshtein has a diverse education history spanning various fields. In 1994, they obtained a Diploma in Fine Arts from the Private School of Fine Arts and went on to pursue an Associate's degree in Graphic Design from Mekif H' Technical College, which they completed in 1998. In 1999, they obtained a Diploma in Computerized Animation from Lin Bichler Institute.
Yan further expanded their skill set by obtaining a Diploma in Internet Communications from A+ Institute in 2001. In 2002, they pursued their interest in Interior Design & Architecture and obtained a Diploma from the International Academy of Design & Technology in 2003.
In 2012, Yan pursued another passion by completing a Certificate course in Professional Photography from the Karl Taylor Photography School UK. Yan then further enhanced their knowledge in design by completing a Certificate course in User Experience Design from General Assembly in 2016.
To supplement their education, Yan has also obtained additional certifications. In 2016, they obtained a User Experience Designer certification from General Assembly. In 2018, they completed a Human Computer Interaction certificate program from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2019, they gained further knowledge in accessibility design by obtaining a certificate in "Accessibility: How to Design for All" from the Interaction Design Foundation (IDF). Additionally, in 2017, they received a Certificate of Membership from the Interaction Design Foundation (IDF).
