Kirstie Keys began their work experience in 2012 as a part of the Youth Activities Department at Disney Cruise Line. In 2015, they interned at African Array Lodge. From 2017 to 2022, Kirstie worked as a Travel Consultant at Kensington Tours. In 2022, they joined Houst as a Client Onboarding Executive. Currently, Kirstie is employed at Audley Travel as a Sales Operations Specialist, starting in March 2023.

Kirstie Keys attended Carleton University from 2009 to 2012, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Communication Studies. In 2014, they enrolled at Centennial College and completed a Diploma in Tourism and Travel in 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Kirstie Keys has obtained several certifications. In November 2014, they completed the Cruise Line International Association Training offered by CLIA (Cruise Lines International Association). Kirstie also became certified by the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (Ontario's Travel Regulator) as a TICO Certified professional in April 2015. Lastly, in November 2014, Kirstie Keys obtained certification from RBC as an RBC Travel Insurance Certified individual.
