Charlotte "Char" Bwana has a wide range of work experience in the media and brand partnerships sector. From 2015 to 2017, they worked as a Digital Content Manager at Ogilvy. In this role, they were responsible for maintaining a consistent look and feel throughout the company's web properties, copyediting and proofreading all web content, and taking the lead role in the maintenance of the website. In 2017, they moved to Coke Studio as a Digital Content Manager, where they managed digital promotions, paid media campaigns, Coke Studio websites, creation of digital tools and strategies to increase fan engagement, and built relationships with key web platforms and streaming partners. Finally, in 2019, they joined Audiomack as Director, Media and Brand Partnerships (Africa) and Head of Media and Brand Partnership (Africa). In this role, they focused on roles including market analysis, events networking, public speaking and strategic alliance development, through to bid design and management. Charlotte "Char" also spearheaded new business activities in Africa aimed at both the International Development and corporate markets, and contributed to the strategic product and service offering of the company. Additionally, they served as Africa Ambassador, leading the expansion of Audiomack presence in Africa, recruiting African artists, onboarding them, and working with African artists to promote their music on the platform.

TORONTO -- Ontario's police watchdog says a man has been charged with assault after an officer was injured while investigating a suspected impaired driver.
The Special Investigations Unit says the officer suffered a broken nose and other injuries during the incident in the city's west end on Saturday.
The SIU says the officer was trying to arrest a man who had been pulled over for suspected impaired driving.
The SIU says the man was arrested and charged with assaulting a peace officer and resisting a peace officer.
The SIU is an arm's length agency that investigates reports involving police where there has been death, serious injury or allegations of sexual assault.
