Luca Turchet serves as an Associate Editor for IEEE Transactions on Human-Machine Systems and IEEE Access, and holds the position of Chair for the IEEE Emerging Technology Initiative on the Internet of Sounds. As a Board Member of AES Italia and Associate Professor at Università di Trento, Luca leads the Creative, Intelligent, and Multisensory Interactions Lab. Additionally, Luca coordinates a master’s degree program in Human-Computer Interaction and Design with EIT Digital and co-founded Elk, where Luca also serves as Head of Sound and Interaction Design. Previous roles include Honorary Senior Research Associate at UCL Institute of Education and Marie-Curie Postdoctoral Fellow at Queen Mary University of London. Luca has a diverse educational background, including a PhD in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Aalborg University and a Master’s in Electronic Music from the Royal College of Music in Stockholm.
