Markus Treffer is an experienced engineer specializing in motor development and application, currently working as an Ingenieur Motorentwicklung Applikation at Audi Formula Racing GmbH since January 2023, focusing on F1 motor development. Since September 2021, Markus Treffer has also held a position as Ingenieur at Rennsport Classic GmbH. Prior experience includes a lengthy tenure at BMW Motorsport from January 2002 to January 2021, where duties encompassed motor development and F1 racing engineering, in addition to projects in DTM, Formula E, WTCC, LeMans, and the 24h Nürburgring. An initial internship at Porsche AG in early 2000 involved work on LMP1, Carrera GT, and 996 GT3. Markus Treffer began the professional journey with an internship at MTM Motoren-Technik-Mayer GmbH in 1998.
