Shameel Sahib currently serves as the Transformation Programme Director at Auckland Transport since July 2023. Prior to this role, Shameel held multiple senior positions at Auckland Council from May 2015 to July 2023, including General Manager Corporate Strategy & Business Improvement and Head of Strategy & Capability. Shameel's previous experience includes serving as Head of Strategy at New Zealand Racing Board and Executive Manager - Office of the CEO at Bank of New Zealand. Additional roles include a strategy consultant position at Air New Zealand and General Manager Performance & Analysis at SKYCITY Entertainment Group. Shameel holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Economics and Labour Relations from The University of Auckland and a Postgraduate Diploma in Business from Massey University.
