Jay Gogue serves as President Emeritus at Auburn University since May 2022, having previously held the role of Interim Chancellor at New Mexico State University from April 2023 to May 2024. Gogue's extensive leadership experience includes tenure as President Emeritus and President at Auburn University from 2007 to 2019, President and Chancellor at the University of Houston from 2003 to 2007, and President at New Mexico State University from 2000 to 2003.
