Brian Maher has a diverse work experience in the education sector. Brian started working as an Assistant Football Coach at Peru State College in 2012 and continued in the role until 2020. At the same time, they also worked as an Instructor from 2013 to 2016. In 2016, they joined Nebraska City Public Schools as a Life Skills Para-educator, working with children with special needs until 2020. In 2020, they joined Auburn Public Schools as a Paraeducator and Assistant Varsity Football Coach, and later took on roles as an Assistant Baseball Coach and Alternative Education Teacher. Brian is currently the Head Esports Coach at Auburn Public Schools.
Brian Maher earned a Bachelor of Education (BEd) degree in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching from Peru State College, where they studied from 1998 to 2004. Following this, they pursued higher education at William Woods University from 2006 to 2007, obtaining a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Athletic/Activities Administration. In addition to their formal education, Brian Maher obtained a Nebraska Teaching Certificate from the Nebraska Department of Education in February 2022.
