Mark Tear

Managing Director at Aubea

Mark Tear is the current Managing Director at Aubea. Mark has over 20 years of experience in finance and marketing, with a specific focus on analytics and product management. Mark started their career as a Divisional Accountant for Ransomes Jacobsen Ltd. In 1995, they transitioned into the role of Marketing Finance Controller for Whitbread. In this role, Mark was responsible for the financial control of Whitbread's $250 million marketing budget. Mark also developed analytical databases and tools to support brand profitability analysis and beer volume analysis. In 1998, Mark joined Crystal Decisions as Senior Product Manager for Analytic Applications. In this role, they were responsible for product management of Crystal's portfolio of analytic applications, including the Balanced Scorecard, Budgeting and Forecasting, CRM, and Marketing Optimization. Mark also launched the new Crystal Analysis tool as a front end to multiple OLAP data sources. In 2003, Mark left Crystal Decisions to become Managing Director at Aubea.

Mark Tear has a BA Honours in Economics from the University of Exeter and is also a Chartered Accountant (ACA) from ICAEW and ICABC.
