Ahmed Hanafy is an experienced financial professional with a strong background in risk management and control within the banking sector. Currently serving as the Head of Risk Control Unit for Corporate Credit Risk at Attijariwafa Bank Egypt since January 2018, Ahmed oversees a team of 15 and ensures effective monitoring and reporting of any irregularities. Previously held roles include Senior Manager of the Risk Control Unit at Barclays Bank Egypt, where management of a team of three was undertaken, and various positions at Barclays Bank Egypt from 1995 to 2018, including Manager of the Risk Control Unit and Assistant Manager. Ahmed began a banking career at Egyptian Gulf Bank in 1993. Educational background includes two bachelor's degrees in Accounting and Business/Commerce from Ain Shams University.
