Joni Mäkelä has a diverse range of work experience. Starting in 2009, they worked as a Collection Specialist at Lindorff Oy until 2011. During this time, they also served as a Member of the Legal Aid Commission at The Student Union of the University of Turku from 2010 to 2011. In 2011, Joni briefly worked as a Legal Assistant at White & Case. Subsequently, they joined Lindorff in 2012, where they initially worked as a Collection Specialist and later as an Invoicing Specialist. In 2013, Joni joined Attendo Suomi as a Legal Counsel and was promoted to the role of General Counsel in 2016. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Legal & Permit Services at Attendo Suomi.
Joni Mäkelä's education history includes a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree, which they received from the University of Turku from 2006 to 2013. During this time, they focused on studying company law, contract law, and securities law. Additionally, in 2012, they completed a short-term program in international studies at the University of Surrey. Prior to their Master's degree, Joni earned a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Turku between 2006 and 2011, with a specific focus on law.
