Romain Loubeyre has held various roles throughout their work experience. Romain began their career as an Intern at the General Consulate of France in Thessaloniki, where they participated in consular activities and provided legal advice. Romain then worked as a Researcher at the Institut du droit de l'espace et des télécommunications and as a Visiting Researcher at the Space Policy Institute, George Washington University.
In 2011, Romain joined SCOR as a Legal intern before becoming a Co-executive secretary at the Space Generation Advisory Council. Romain also worked as a Chief Operating Officer at elseco Limited and held roles as a Space Underwriter and Legal counsel at elseco. In 2020, Romain became the Managing Director at ATOM Insurance.

Romain Loubeyre has a diverse education history. In 2006, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Law from the University of Rouen. Romain further pursued their studies in international and European law, completing a Bachelor's degree at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2009. Following this, they enrolled at Paris-Sud University (Paris XI) and earned a Master 1 in International and European Law in 2010. Romain also demonstrated an interest in space law and policy, participating in the ESA/ECSL Summer Course on Space Law and Policy at Universidad de Jaén in 2010. In 2011, they acquired a Master's degree II in Space and Telecommunication Law, specializing in this field. Furthermore, in 2015, they completed the Space Systems Engineering Course at the University of Southampton, enhancing their knowledge in space systems engineering.
