Govinda Sambamurthy is an accomplished engineering leader with extensive experience in product development and team management across multiple sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Engineering at Atlassian since April 2022, Govinda focuses on cloud transitions and data portability while managing teams in India and Australia. Prior to Atlassian, Govinda held the position of Director of Engineering at PayPal, where responsibilities included launching new credit products and managing a significant loan portfolio during the pandemic. Experience at Intuit as a Group Development Manager involved overseeing a large team for QuickBooks Online Advanced, and earlier roles at Oracle and Wipro encompassed product development, technical leadership, and various software solutions. Govinda holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the College of Engineering Trivandrum and the University of Kerala.
