Karen Higgins is the Ports and Logistics Lead at Atlantic Shores Offshore Wind LLC since September 2023. Karen has extensive experience in maritime and engineering roles, previously serving as a Maritime Assurance Assessor at Shell Trading (US) Company from July 2021 to September 2023, and as a Project Engineer at Shell from January 2016 to June 2021, where responsibilities included advocating for LNG as a fuel and managing port locations for LNG bunkering. Additional roles at Shell included Offshore Surveillance Representative and various engineering positions, providing oversight and assurance in maritime operations. Prior experience also includes serving as Chief Engineer at OSG Ship Management and an Engineering Instructor at Massachusetts Maritime Academy. Karen holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Engineering from Massachusetts Maritime Academy, earned in 1994.
