Mateo Flores is currently a Manufacturing Engineer Co-op at Axcelis Technologies, a role started in July 2023. Previously, Mateo gained experience as an R&D Co-op at Boston Scientific from July 2022 to December 2022 and as an Assistant at Carpinteria Mendoza during the summer of 2020, where skills were developed in operating various woodworking machines and tools. Mateo is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering at Northeastern University, expected to graduate in May 2025, and holds a High School Diploma from Colegio Americano de Quito.
