Mark Gale is an assistant professor of instructional design at Athens State University. Prior to their current position, Gale was a distance learning specialist at Auburn University from 2007 to 2010, and a web manager at the University of Alabama in Huntsville from 2004 to 2007. Gale has helped develop faculty members' technological skills, created new courses, and implemented new technologies throughout their career.

Mark Gale has a Ph.D. in Higher Education/Higher Education Administration from Auburn University, a Master of Management Information Systems (M.S.M.I.S.) from The University of Alabama in Huntsville, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (B.S.B.A.) from The University of Alabama in Huntsville. Mark is also certified by the ACUE (Association of College and University Educators) in Microcredential in Inspiring Inquiry and Lifelong Learning in Your Online Course and by the Online Learning Consortium in Instructional Design Mastery Series.
