Involved with information security since he was a teenager, Bill spent the first 27 years of his career in the Navy, retiring as a Information Systems Technician Senior Chief. His first post-Navy Career job was with Booz-Allen Hamilton where he helped author the Navy’s Firewall Policy and was a founding member of the DoD Ports, Protocols, and Services (PPS) Technical Advisory Group, participating in the development of the first DoD PPS Category Assignments List. After moving to Athena Consulting Group over a decade ago, Bill helped create the establishment of the Navy Medicine Enclave, authoring several documents and SOPs including the Navy Medicine Perimeter Protection Plan and the DoD Medical Devices STIG. Over the past couple years, Bill has been heavily involved in the DHA Cyber Logistics (CyberLOG) process and currently serves as Deputy Chief for Sustainment Branch of the CyberLOG Center of Excellence processing RMF for DoD Medical Devices and Equipment.
