Janusz Szpilewski has over 20 years of experience working as a software engineer in various companies. Their most recent position was at Atempo starting in March 2020, where they served as a Software Engineer. Prior to that, they worked at Schlumberger as a C++ Software Engineer from March 2019 to August 2019. Janusz also held roles at Diebold Nixdorf, IER, Technilog, Neopost, Crédit Agricole CIB, EMCC Software Ltd, Symbian, and Alcatel-Lucent. In these positions, they gained experience in software development, maintenance, and testing, as well as network management and communication modules.

Janusz Szpilewski earned a Master of Science degree in Software Engineering from The Franco-Polish School of New Information and Communication Technologies, which they attended from 1994 to 1997. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications including "Algorithms: Design and Analysis, Part 2" from Coursera Course Certificates in July 2016, "Algorithms: Design and Analysis, Part 1" from Coursera in April 2012, "Associate Cloud Engineer" from Google in September 2019, and "Google Cloud Labs" from Qwiklabs.
