Claire Maxfield is an experienced architect and educator, currently serving as the Director at Atelier Ten since January 2004. Maxfield has held academic positions as a Visiting Consultant at The Rural Studio at Auburn University from September 2013 to 2015, and as a Visiting Instructor at Parsons - The New School of Design in 2006-2007, as well as an Instructor at Pratt Institute in 2005. Prior professional experience includes the role of Designer at BriggsKnowles Architecture + Design from 2002 to 2003. Maxfield holds a Master of Architecture from Princeton University School of Architecture, completed between 2000 and 2003, and a Bachelor of Arts in Architectural History/Theory and Environmental Studies from Cornell University, earned in 1996-2000. Additional educational background includes studies at Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture, Planning & Preservation, and attendance at Dalton School.
