Matheus Gemignani, Ph.D., is a highly experienced regulatory specialist currently working at ATCO since November 2022, having previously served as a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Alberta. Matheus has an extensive background in the Brazilian electricity sector, including roles as project coordinator at Universidade de São Paulo, where leadership in research projects for major utility companies focused on electrical generation and distribution power grids. Additional experience includes support as an energy analyst at Empresa de Pesquisa Energética, participation in solar energy regulation studies, and teaching electrical engineering as a professor at FITO - Fundação Instituto Tecnológico de Osasco. Matheus holds a Doctor of Science, Master of Science, and Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering, all earned from USP - Universidade de São Paulo.
