Ilia Van Campenhout is a seasoned surgical professional with extensive experience in various aspects of surgery. Currently serving as a Gastro-intestinal Surgery Fellow at Algemeen Stedelijk Ziekenhuis Aalst since August 2022, Ilia has previously held the position of Bariatric Surgery Fellow at AZ Sint-Jan Brugge-Oostende AV. Prior roles include General Surgery Resident positions at UZ Gent, Erasmus MC, and AZ Maria Middelares, as well as a Resident General Surgery role at AZ Sint-Jan Brugge-Oostende AV. Ilia completed a Master of Specialist Medicine in General Surgery and a Master’s Degree in Medicine at Ghent University, contributing to a solid educational foundation in the medical field.
