Zaria Serfontein is an accomplished aerospace professional with extensive experience in product strategy and mission concepts at Astroscale since January 2023. Currently serving as Chief Operating Officer at Frontier Space Technologies, Zaria has also held leadership roles in UKSEDS, including Chair and Vice Chair, where key initiatives included promoting inclusivity in space competitions and organizing industry debates. As Team Lead for LEOniDAS FYT!, Zaria managed projects to validate drag sails for satellite de-orbiting as part of ESA's Fly Your Thesis! program. With a strong academic background, including a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from Cranfield University, Zaria has demonstrated expertise in both technical and operational aspects of the aerospace sector, complemented by experience as a Technical Consultant at CAE Parc Aviation and previous roles in aviation operations and teaching.
