Anas Younes is a highly accomplished medical oncologist with extensive experience in hematology and oncology research and treatment. Currently serving as Senior VP and Global Head of Hematology (Early and Late Stage) in Oncology R&D at AstraZeneca since June 2020, Anas Younes leads the development of a comprehensive hematology R&D team focused on advancing drug pipelines through various trial phases to achieve regulatory approvals. Concurrently, Anas Younes holds the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors at Acerta Pharma, a part of AstraZeneca, specializing in hematology drug discovery. Previously, Anas Younes held various prestigious roles at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, including Chief of the Lymphoma Service and Special Advisor to the Chief of Medicine for Research, and spent over two decades at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center as a Professor of Medicine, where significant contributions were made to clinical and translational research in lymphoma.
