Vishal Billa is an Embedded Software Engineer at Astranis Space Technologies since October 2024. Previously, Vishal worked as a DAQ Engineer at USC Liquid Propulsion Laboratory from September 2023 to May 2024, where responsibilities included designing Python code for LabJack modules and upgrading operator GUI using PySide6. As a Mechanical Engineer at USC Rocket Propulsion Laboratory from August 2021 to May 2024, Vishal manufactured composite components for vehicles and integrated solid rocket propellant. In the role of Avionics Engineer, significant contributions included architecting software upgrades and developing embedded C++ device drivers. As Lead Embedded Software Engineer, Vishal led a team of approximately 15 undergraduate students in complex code development and pioneering the integrator PCB board for avionics units. Vishal holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from USC Viterbi School of Engineering, attained in May 2024.
