Nicolas Gascon is a seasoned propulsion engineer with extensive experience in the aerospace industry. Currently serving as a Propulsion Engineer at Astranis Space Technologies since April 2022, Nicolas manages the life cycle of Chemical and Electric Propulsion systems for communication satellites. As the Founder and Head of Innovation at Aeiocraft, Nicolas provides consulting services focusing on plasma technologies for aerospace and energy sectors. Previous roles include Research Engineer at the SETI Institute, where Nicolas was involved in developing X-ray instruments, and Research and Innovation Engineer at MOMENTUS, specializing in green propellant electrothermal propulsion systems. Earlier experiences include leading R&D at Stealth Plasma Technologies, contributing to plasma reactor systems at Stanford University, and designing propulsion systems at Space Systems Loral. Nicolas holds a Ph.D. in Radiation and Plasma Physics from Aix-Marseille University.
