Chris Petersen currently serves as Fellow of Technology and Ecosystems at Astera Labs since November 2023 and holds several leadership roles at the CXL Consortium, including Chair of Memory Systems Working Group and Director and Treasurer. Previously, Chris was a Director at JEDEC from January 2023 to November 2023, representing Meta and leading efforts in memory standards. Additionally, Chris served as a Director at NVM Express from January 2016 to November 2023 and worked as a Hardware Systems Technologist at Meta from August 2012 to November 2023. Earlier experience includes positions as Senior Systems Engineer and Systems Engineer at Dell, and Hardware Design Engineer at Hewlett-Packard. Chris Petersen earned a B.S. and a Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Cornell University.
