Ashok Reddy Soma is a seasoned software engineering professional with extensive experience in various roles. Currently serving as a Senior Software Engineering Manager at AST SpaceMobile since September 2023, Ashok has previously held positions such as Member Of Technical Staff at AMD from July 2019 to August 2023, where responsibilities included managing the U-Boot project for multiple Xilinx SoCs following AMD's acquisition of Xilinx. Prior to that, Ashok worked at Aspeed Technology Inc. as a Staff Engineer after the acquisition of the BMC division from Broadcom, and held similar roles at Broadcom Limited post-acquisition of Emulex communications. Ashok's earlier experiences include lead engineering at HCL Technologies, and software development at Robert Bosch Engineering and Business Solutions, focusing on firmware for passenger cars. Ashok began the career as a Design Engineer at Medha Servo Drives Pvt Ltd, contributing to software development for microcontrollers. Ashok holds a B.Tech in Electronics and Communications Engineering from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University.
