Ella Thomas is a seasoned policy professional currently serving as the Senior Policy Manager at the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners since July 2021, focusing on victims' policy with an emphasis on violence against women and girls. Previously, Ella held a Senior Policy Manager role (secondment) in the Criminal Justice System and continued to lead victims' policy from the Ministry of Justice during 2021-22. Ella's experience at the Ministry of Justice UK as a Senior Policy Advisor involved governance and strategy for the criminal justice system, complemented by policy advisory roles in the Department for Education. These included work on the Teaching Excellence Framework and children's social care policy, along with serving as an Executive Officer in the Academies Regional Delivery Group. Ella holds a Master of Arts in Religion from King's College London and a degree in Classical Past from Durham University.
