Maija Ruoho is a seasoned communications specialist currently employed at Kuntaliitto | Kommunförbundet (Association of Finnish Local and Regional Authorities) since May 2023. Ruoho previously held the role of communications specialist at the City of Espoo from April 2019 to May 2023, and served as a project manager for KUNTEKO2020 at KT Kuntatyönantajat from January 2018 to May 2019. Earlier experience includes positions as an administration and communications coordinator and human resources assistant at Kuntaliitto, alongside a secretarial role at the Hospital District of Helsinki and Uusimaa. Ruoho's career began as a customer service advisor at S-Pankki Oy, complemented by an internship in human resource management at Mäntsälän kunta. Ruoho holds a Master of Arts degree in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University of Eastern Finland, earned between 2009 and 2017.
