Sofia del Cid serves as the Group Internal Controls Programme Lead at Associated British Foods plc since July 2021, following a tenure at Deloitte UK from September 2013 to July 2021, where Sofia held the position of Manager in both the Strategic, Regulatory and Operational Risk practice and the Risk Advisory – Technology and Digital Risk practice. Sofia has extensive experience in internal auditing, particularly in the Higher Education Sector, and has managed IT internal and external audits, focusing on General IT Controls and Automated Controls. Prior to Deloitte, Sofia interned at HSBC Private Bank and banco ficohsa, gaining experience in legal documentation and financial analysis. Sofia holds a degree in Corporate Finance and Financial Services/Risk Management from St. Mary's University, San Antonio, TX.
