Carrie Carpenter is a Trustee at Assembly for the Arts and was previously Senior Vice President, Regional Director of Public Affairs and Citizens Charitable Foundation at Citizens Bank from January 2005 to November 2015.
At Citizens Bank, Carrie was responsible for directing the Citizens Bank charitable foundation for the Mid-States region, developing public affairs and public relations strategies to maximize the bank’s brand platform, creating and directing marketing sponsorships and signature community involvement programs, and leading the community component of the bank's rebrand in Ohio in 2005 and name change in the Midwest in 2015. Carrie's work at Citizens Bank resulted in the revitalization of the Ohio City neighborhood in Cleveland through grants to launch small businesses, promote urban farms and improve the neighborhood corridor. The initiative was replicated in 5 additional states. Carrie also managed the bank media in their region during the financial crisis and maintained a positive reputation through the emphasis on corporate social responsibility and community programs.
Carrie Carpenter has a Masters of Strategic Public Relations from the Graduate School of Political Management at The George Washington University, and a BA in Political Science and Women's Studies from Kent State University.
