Jean-Yvon Essiane-Essone currently serves as the Subsurface Manager at Assala Energy since September 2018. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Production Geologist at Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) and Senior Production Geologist at Shell Gabon. From 2012 to 2018, Jean-Yvon held the position of Non Shell Operated Ventures Manager at Shell Gabon and also served as Asset Lead for Awoun. Earlier experience at PDO includes being the Senior Production Geologist and focal point for the Nimr B team from 2007 to 2012. Jean-Yvon began career at Shell as a Production Geologist from 1997 to 2000, later advancing to Head of Production Geology & Petrophysics at both Shell and Shell Gabon from 2003 to 2007.
