Carlos Romero is a Senior Reservoir Engineer at Assala Energy with extensive experience in dynamic modeling of mature onshore oil fields, data validation, and forecasting. Prior to this role, Carlos served as an Independent Consultant, focusing on enhanced oil recovery for the Bakrol oil field in India. At Tullow Oil, Carlos held various positions including Lead Reservoir Engineer for West Africa and Subsurface Lead for Uganda, where skills in production optimization, integrated modeling, and project management were honed. Previously, Carlos worked for ENI UK, overseeing significant offshore projects in the North Sea, and held engineering roles at PDVSA, where technology consulting and drilling expertise were developed. Carlos holds a PhD in Engineering/Machine Learning from Imperial College London and a degree in Petroleum Engineering from Universidad del Zulia.
