April Graves has over 20 years of work experience in the software development field. April started their career as a Software Developer at Logicon, where they developed web-based applications for various departments. April then worked as an Application Developer at the Institute for Simulation and Training, where they developed web-based database applications for clients including the Department of Defense and the University of Central Florida.
After that, April worked as a Web Developer at Dixon Ticonderoga, where they administered Microsoft Exchange Server and SQL Server, implemented security procedures, and provided security training. April then joined SunGard Public Sector as a Senior Software Developer and Team Lead, where they managed a distributed software development team and led meetings with employees in different locations. At Alight Inc, April served as a Senior Software Engineer, developing and maintaining a Financial Application and leading projects for Data Integration Services.
April also has experience in teaching, having worked as an Adjunct Professor at both Seminole State College of Florida and Valencia College, where they taught courses on scripting languages such as JavaScript and PHP.
In their most recent roles, April worked at Abacus Technology Corporation as a Senior Software Developer, where they designed and developed ASP.NET MVC and Angular applications to support NASA and the Kennedy Space Center. April also worked on the design and development of an application framework for all applications.
Most recently, April joined ASRC Federal as a Principal Software Developer in October 2019.
April Graves earned their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Rollins College, where they studied from 2005 to 2010. April later pursued a Master's degree in Computer Software Engineering at Penn State Great Valley, completing their studies from 2012 to 2014.
