"The Asian Pacific Student Alliance is a non-profit, culturally based organization established to unite diverse students to learn and share in the Asian and Pacific Islander cultural identities, traditions and beliefs. Ultimately, to inform and involve all members in issues that may affect their lives or welfare of the community."​

APSA tries to become more visible and vocal w﻿ith issues that affect our community while aiming to share the Asian Pacific culture with all ethnicities. Our organization is open to anyone who is interested in learning about Asian Pacific culture, communities, and various miscellaneous things. We want everyone to develop an appreciation for the rich traditions and beliefs of Asian Pacific cultures.

APSA hopes to help and to be of assistance in advocating and representing the organization's interest both within and outside of campus. We help serve the community either by volunteering for or providing service events.

Throughout the year, APSA dedicates time to have various social, cultural and community events that serves the purpose in our organization. Some of the awesome & various events that APSA has participated in include:

* ﻿Homecoming﻿
* GreenFest

SDSU's APSA also networks with UCSD and other colleges & universities around to have socials and other community projects together. Fundraising activities occur throughout the year to help alleviate some of the costs of certain events that take place during the semesters.

The Leadership Team of the Asian Pacific Student Alliance (APSA) at San Diego State University is responsible for guiding the organization's strategic vision and operational activities. This team, consisting of the President, Executive Vice President, Vice President of External Affairs, and Vice President of Internal Affairs, works collaboratively to promote Asian and Pacific Islander cultural awareness, advocate for student interests, and organize impactful community service and cultural events. They serve as key representatives for APSA, fostering partnerships with other universities and ensuring effective communication within the organization and the wider community.
