Alexandra Autrey is the Group General Counsel and Company Secretary at Ashmore, a position held since May 2005, responsible for leading the global Legal and Transaction Management Team. This role encompasses overseeing legal work related to investments, fund structuring, and distribution, as well as serving as Company Secretary to various committees. Previously, Alexandra held multiple positions at Ashmore, including Group Head of Legal and Transaction Management, Deputy Head, and Counsel. Alexandra has also served as Chair and Trustee of The Ashmore Foundation, focusing on governance and sustainable community initiatives in emerging markets. Prior to Ashmore, Alexandra worked at Westpac Institutional Bank as Manager Legal and at Westpac Banking Group as Assistant Legal Counsel. Alexandra holds a Master of Laws (LLM) in International Finance from King's College London and both a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) (Hons) in Sociology and a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) (Hons) from The Australian National University.
