Sean McMahon is a highly experienced professional in the life sciences and biomedical engineering sectors, currently serving as the Global Business Manager for Life Sciences at Ashland since April 2018, where Sean leads the Viatel bioresorbable polymer platform. Previously, Sean was the Chief Executive Officer of Vornia Limited until its acquisition by Ashland, overseeing all major business operations. With a strong background in research and development, Sean has also contributed as a Senior R&D Engineer at Vornia Biomaterials and gained experience as a Component Engineer at Medtronic Vascular. Sean holds a Ph.D. in Medicine/Medical Engineering, a Master’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering, and has pursued professional development in project management and leadership. Currently, Sean is enrolled in an Executive MBA program at Trinity Business School.
