Mark Nicholson has a strong work experience in the telecommunications industry, with a particular focus on voice engineering and 911 consulting. Nicholson, began their career in 1983 at Executone as an Install, Move, Add, and Change Technician. Nicholson, then worked at Contel as an Install, Move, Add, and Change Technician before joining GTE as a Senior Technician in 1993. Mark then moved on to Verizon, where they served as a Support Engineer from 1998 to 2010 and as a 911-Engineer / Data Care Center Support from 2010 to 2015. Since 2015, Mark has been with Ashburn Consulting LLC as a Senior Voice Engineer and 911 Consultant.

Prior to that, they obtained certifications such as Cassidian 911 Sentinel Patriot Install, Maintenance, & Admin from Cassidian Test and Services in January 2013, Nortel Certified Support Expert - Communications Server, Nortel Certified Support Specialist - CallPilot, Nortel Certified Support Specialist - Contact Center Manager, Nortel Certified Support Specialist - Contact Center Installation & Maintenance, and 6910AEN - Succession Software Debugging from Nortel Networks in 2007. Mark also holds certifications from Avaya, including ACIS - Avaya Communication Server 1000 for Avaya Aura, APSS - Avaya Enterprise Team Engagement Solutions, APDS - Avaya Midmarket Solutions, and APSS - Avaya Midmarket Solutions earned in 2016 and 2015, respectively.
