Sergio Garcia is an accomplished electrical engineering professional with extensive experience in the cement industry. Currently serving as the Director of Electrical Engineering at Ash Grove Cement Company since April 2022, Sergio previously held significant roles at CEMEX USA from 2004 to 2021, including Director of Reliability & Projects for Electrical & Automation, where responsibilities encompassed overseeing electrical reliability across multiple cement plants and managing major projects related to control systems and power generation. Earlier positions at CEMEX included Plant Manager, Electrical & Automation Reliability & Projects Manager, and International Projects Manager. Beginning in 1985, Sergio gained valuable experience in mechanical design through roles at Prolect and Pigmentos y Oxidos. Sergio holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Universidad del Norte, A.C., and a technological degree in Mechanical Design from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
