Monique Maddox

Director of HR at ASEE

Monique Maddox is currently the Director of HR at ASEE. Monique previously worked for the United States Air Force from November 2011 to October 2016 as a Financial Services Pay Manager. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing the military financial operations in the management office and training and coaching a team of enlisted military pay technicians and a contractor.

Prior to their work with the Air Force, Monique served in the US Army from December 1999 to July 2021. During their time with the Army, they transitioned from active duty to veteran status.

Monique has a wealth of experience in both the military and civilian sectors. Monique is a strong leader with a commitment to their team and to their work. Her experience in both human resources and financial management make their an asset to any organization.

Monique Maddox has a Master's degree in Administration/Organizational Behavior and Human Resource from Central Michigan University. Monique also has a Bachelor's degree in Management/ Organizational Development and Leadership from University of Maryland Global Campus. In addition, they have a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management/Personnel Administration, General from Columbia Southern University. Finally, they have a Doctor of Education - EdD in Educational Leadership and Organizational Innovation from Marymount University. Monique is also certified as a Change Management Professional (CCMP) from Acuity Institute and as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) from Strategic Learning Alliance.

They are on a team with Rafael Gerena - Chief Messaging Officer, Managing Director of Communications & Society Advancement, Jacqueline A. El Sayed - Chief Academic Officer, Director for Professional Services & Director of Institutional & Strategic Direction, and Joseph Roy - Director of Institutional Research & Analytics. Monique Maddox reports to Norman Fortenberry, Executive Director.
