Juan Palacios Plaza is an accomplished software architect and technology leader with extensive experience in platform architecture and development. Currently serving as the Lead Architect for the Simulations Platform at Ascend Learning since June 2019, Juan is responsible for defining web platform strategies, selecting relevant technologies, mentoring team members, and implementing security measures. Prior to this role, Juan held positions such as Senior Software Architect at Kognito, where legacy systems were modernized, and Lead Software Developer at Watto Apps, delivering large-scale applications. Juan's career also includes significant roles in IT support and development, contributing to various projects including the MacPorts Project. With a Bachelor's degree in Computational Physics from Universidad Central de Venezuela, Juan possesses a strong foundation in technology and system architecture.
