Stuart Whitehurst is an experienced appraiser and partner at Whitehurst & Wishart Appraisal Services, LLC since April 2022, and an Accredited Senior Appraiser with the American Society of Appraisers since June 2018. Prior to these roles, Stuart was a partner at Marvin & Whitehurst Appraisal Group, Inc. from 2011 to 2022, specializing in fine and decorative arts with a strong presence in Florida's Palm Beach, Broward, Dade, and Martin counties. Stuart's extensive career includes 17 years at Skinner, Inc., where responsibilities included appraisals for estate taxes and insurance, and significant contributions as Director of the Fine Books & Manuscripts Department, achieving annual sales of up to $2 million. Earlier experience includes positions at Leslie Hindman Auctioneers and Sotheby's, with a foundational education in Art History and Economics from the University of Virginia.
