Dexter Thomas is a Senior UX Designer at ARUP Laboratories, where responsibilities include leading user research initiatives and implementing a DesignOps strategy to enhance the ordering portal and digital interfaces. Previously, as a User Experience Designer, Dexter developed a COVID-19 microsite and improved website navigation to increase user engagement. Prior experience includes contributions to Big Squid, Inc., where a UX redesign led to successful funding, and teaching roles at the University of Utah, focusing on Psychology and Quantitative Research Methods. Dexter's earlier roles involved research at the National Institutes of Health and various UI/UX design positions at academic and corporate institutions. Dexter holds a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science from Westminster University and the University of Utah.
