Andrew Johnson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in game art and design. Currently serving as a Game Art Teacher & Consultant at ArtUP WORKSHOP since November 2024, and as an Adjunct Faculty member at Columbia College Chicago since September 2018, Andrew focuses on preparing and developing game art talent. Previously, as a Senior Concept/2D Artist at Level Ex, Inc. from October 2017 to December 2024, Andrew collaborated with various teams to create engaging simulation games and contributed to branding and marketing efforts. Andrew's freelance work from June 2009 to August 2018 included notable projects such as illustrating branding materials for Intellisuite and an advertising campaign for the Scrumptious Pantry. Andrew's earlier role as a Senior Concept Artist at High Voltage Software from April 2008 to October 2017 involved creating concept art and leading art direction for diverse gaming projects. Andrew holds a BFA in Game Art and Design from The Art Institutes, earned between 2002 and 2007.
