Wasem Khalid is a skilled Research and Development Engineer II at Artivion, Inc. since November 2020, focusing on developing experimental testing strategies and protocols for device components. Prior experience includes serving as an Intern Prototype Engineer at Mount Sinai Bio Design, where Wasem contributed to the design of a novel catheter for Arteriovenous Malformations in collaboration with neurosurgeons. Wasem's background also features a role as a Research Assistant at Fu Lab at City College (CUNY), investigating physiological transport in micro vessels, and as a Project Leader at Burke Neurological Institute, where Wasem managed the development of a portable hand exoskeleton prototype. Wasem holds a Master’s degree in Translational Medicine and a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from The City College of New York.
