Shaz Rasul

Advisor at Artifice

Shaz Rasul serves as the Executive Director for Education Partnerships in the Office of Civic Engagement at the University of Chicago since December 2001, with additional interim oversight of the University Community Service Center on two occasions. Rasul has held various leadership roles, including the Executive Director for Student Civic Engagement, Director of the Neighborhood Schools Program, and Director of the University of Chicago GEARUP Program, focusing on college access for high school students. As the Founding Director of the Community Programs Accelerator and Managing Director for CUIP, Shaz has directed outreach programs that connect public schools with technology. In addition, Shaz is a Leadership Greater Chicago Fellow since July 2018 and previously volunteered with the US Peace Corps in South Africa. Academic qualifications include an AB in Sociology, an MS in Computer Science from the University of Chicago, and a non-degree certificate from the Booth School of Business.
