Erik van der Wurff is a Manager at Arthur D. Little since February 2020, contributing to the world's first strategy consultancy. Additionally, Erik serves as a Consultant and Participant in the think tank Denkkracht Utrecht, aimed at addressing social and organizational challenges in the region. As a former PhD Researcher in Theoretical Physics at FOM, Erik focused on condensed matter and quantum physics, successfully defending a dissertation in June 2019, while also publishing five peer-reviewed articles and supervising master's students. Prior research experiences include visiting scientist roles at the Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Madrid and the Max-Planck-Institut für Physik komplexer Systeme, which involved presentations at international conferences and receiving a grant from the European Science Foundation. Erik holds a Master's degree in Theoretical Physics (cum laude) and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from Utrecht University and Eindhoven University of Technology, respectively.
