Jose Gurrola, MHA, is the Chief Operating Officer at Artesia General Hospital since July 2022. With a comprehensive background in healthcare administration, Jose previously served as the Hospital Administrator/CEO at the New Mexico Department of Health from June 2017 to July 2022 and held the position of Clinic Practice Manager at Artesia General Hospital from June 2016 to May 2017. Prior experience includes roles such as DOH Medical Staff Manager and HIM Supervisor at the New Mexico Department of Health, along with the position of Medical Staff Coordinator at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center Hospital. Jose started their career as a Certified Medical/Clinical Assistant at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center Clinic Corporation. Educational credentials include a Master of Health Administration from Ohio University and a Bachelor of Arts & Science in Biology from Eastern New Mexico University, complemented by an Associate of Arts and Sciences in Medical/Clinical Assistant from Eastern New Mexico University-Roswell Campus.
